Welcome to My World
I was born in a log cabin in Canada during the dark ages before cell phones, DVDs, laptops, and chicken nuggets. I spent my early years on an island in Florida where I became an expert on spiny-legged sea creatures that burrowed in the shallows around mangrove trees. In school I learned many important skills such as how to sing Jingle Bells in Latin, sculpting with macaroni, and clog dancing. When my family moved to Palm Springs, California, I won an essay contest that set me on the long and twisted path toward becoming a writer. Now I spend most of my time writing, reading, walking my dogs or teaching my cockatiel to pick locks. My favorite hobbies are raising dust bunnies, collecting other people's shadows, and spending the night in haunted hotel rooms.
